Sarah Brooker

I am a feltmaker , having trained in Fine Art , and textiles ( post grad Goldsmiths College ).

I was inspired to return to painting recently,  being surrounded by nature , working from my studio at home in Ledbury.

Coming across the swathes of heavenly blue , walking along footpaths in the lee of Malvern Hills , the scent astonished....
and the carpets of vivid blues , laid randomly across the land, inspired me to sit and draw amongst the bluebells. Taking me directly back to childhood lanes and secret woods of my north Essex village , bluebells seem to have the power to evoke those days. the drawings and felt here , are from quick sketches made during May in lockdown!
