Caroline Wheater is a freelance journalist with an interest in art, photography and nature. She grows lots of flowers in her Kent garden and has a small collection of teapots and jugs stashed in the kitchen. This teapot is Spode Blue Italian and belonged to her Mum – an unfortunate case of butter fingers led to a broken handle so now it’s enjoying a second life as a pretty vase
